Winchcombe sits in a valley between Broadway and Cheltenham. Unlike its nearby neighbour Broadway, it has largely escaped being over-run with tourists and "twee shoppes". Winchcombe is famous for its Cotswold stone cottages, narrow side streets and delightful independent shops.
Winchcombe is crossed by seven long-distance footpaths and there are a least two splendid caching trails in the locality. Pipsary’s Sudeley Series and MKMHill’s Winchcombe Series.
Parking is available in Chandos Street/Bull Lane and Back Lane (cheapest at £1 per day). There is limited parking for free along Vineyard Street which is ideal if you can get it making a good starting point. The locations can be done in any order.
This Adventure Lab is created to take you on a short but pleasant walk around the village, taking in some of the lovely buildings and highlighting some of the interesting facts about them and the streets where they are situated. Take your time to enjoy the laid back atmosphere of times gone by.
