Lake Oswego, Oregon is located about 8 miles south of Portland. The Clackamas Indians once occupied the land that later becomes Lake Oswego.
The town was founded in 1847 by Albert Alonzo Durham, naming it after Oswego, New York. He built a sawmill on Sucker Creek (now Oswego Creek) the towns first industry.
The town has beautiful parks and walkways along the Willamette River for hikers and boaters to enjoy. Also along A Street there are lots of sculptures, some are permanent and others are temporary for sale.
I have made 5 stops and they can be done in any order. 4 are walkable and one is 1 1/2 miles out of town and it is dusk to dawn. No need to enter any building to get the information.
