This AL is designed to acquaint you with the history of Santa Paula through its industries, art, tragedy, old buildings, and legends. Your journey will take you past amazing architecture, a statue memorializing heroic acts, the train depot and railroad plaza, the historic and reputedly haunted Glen Tavern Inn, and to one of the many colorful murals.
Santa Paula is situated among the lemon, orange, and avocado orchards of the Heritage Valley. Cultural attractions include an Aviation Museum, California Oil Museum, Agricultural Museum, Santa Paula Train Depot and Railroad Plaza Park, Santa Paula Art Museum, and fine art outdoor murals on downtown buildings that depict the history of the city. Additionally, the city is home to 31 registered historic sites, more than any other city in Ventura County.
