Roath Park Lake & Botanic Garden

Welcome to Roath Park, one of Cardiff's beautiful parks that was laid out in Victorian times. Roath Park was the first publicly-owned park in Cardiff and was built on former bogland donated by the Marquis of Bute and other landowners to the Corporation in 1887. It was constructed between 1887 and 1894. Access to some of the locations in this Adventure are only available in daylight hours. The park generally closes 30 minutes before sunset. Parking is generally available on Wild Gardens Road. Alternative parking is available on Lake Road East or Lake Road West adjacent to the Botanic Gardens. This Adventure can be tackled in any order but starting at the suggested parking and walking clockwise around the lake may be a sensible route. Text answers should be given in lower case without spaces. When you successfully complete a section you will be given a number needed to work out the coordinates of a bonus cache, details on Geocaching.com.
