Welcome to the Lab Caches for the MEtroGAthering MEGA event! During the American Revolution, New Jersey held a key geographical position and had more skirmishes and battles than any other state. In addition, this month marks the 350th anniversary of the founding of New Jersey by the settlement of the nearby Elizabethtown (now Elizabeth) by people seeking religious freedom. In honor of that milestone, this Lab Cache adventure will take you to historic sites that played a pivotal role in establishing liberty in the United States. To begin this adventure, navigate to each of the locations below. At each stop, there will be instructions on how to determine the Find Code. Once you get the Find Code, enter it on your phone, then move to the next location. You can also enter the Find Code later online. Each location that is successfully completed you will earn a “smiley.” You can pursue this series in any order. You are welcome to complete all of the Lab Caches or just a few.
