The Mawddach Trail is a stunning multi-use path following the old disused railway line along the edge of the beautiful Mawddach estuary in Southern Snowdonia. The almost exclusively traffic–free route, which is owned by the Snowdonia National Park, is clearly marked, and can be easily followed. It is essentially flat, has a fairly even surface and for most of its length is at least 3 metres wide, and as such it is suitable for walkers, cyclists and wheelchair users. This Adventure Lab covers the eastern section of the route, and is designed to link up with Mawddach Trail - Western Adventure Lab by TAG. Free car parking can be found at the Pont Y Wernddu stage, and the 5 stages can be done in any order. The whole route is 8.5 miles and takes roughly 45 minutes to cycle (non-stop) and roughly 3 hours to walk and is 92.7% traffic-free and 94.7% is asphalt.
