Welcome to Marshlands Conservancy. This is the only extensive salt marsh in Westchester County, and one of the few remaining ones in New York State overall. This Adventure Lab will take you on a ~one hour stroll, along a meadow, down to the marshes, and all the way to the ocean shore. Marshlands is a well-known birding location, with over 250 species counted in the preserve over the years, but there is also an abundance of other wildlife like white-tailed deer, turkeys, squirrels, fiddler crabs, horseshoe crabs, and others. Please stay on the trail, take only pictures, and leave only footprints. Opening hours are dawn to dusk.
