There's a lot to learn about Lima, Ohio! Although it has been said that Lima, OH was named in honor of Lima, Peru, the two are pronounced differently; The Lima in Peru is pronounced "Lee-mah," while Ohio's Lima is "Lye-mah" (like the bean). And, that's just the beginning, as there is a lot to learn about this American hometown who spawned well-known celebrities such as Phyllis Diller (comedian), Hugh Downs (television broadcaster), and Al Jardine (co-founder of the Beach Boys).
