Welcome to Lofthouse Colliery Nature Park! These labs aim to teach you a little bit about the history of the Colliery which used to be here and was the lifeblood of the local community for over a hundred years. Being so close to the GNR Railway, it was originally called Lofthouse Station Colliery. After the pit closed it was left for a while but in the late 1980's it was restored and turned into the nature park which you will wander around today. These labs can be done in any order but I have numbered these as a suggested route. Once you have completed each lab cache, information about the bonus cache (GC8VZV7) will be revealed in the journal. As you walk around the Nature Park there are some other caches by myself and other CO's, which can be completed at the same time. There are a few places to park on street nearby and there is also a large car park at Outwood Train Station.
