Du står framför Karolinerhuset, Växjös äldsta bevarade profana byggnad som under århundradenas lopp haft en central placering i staden. Byggnaden stod klar 1715 och användes fram till 1850 som skola. Från 1860 och ett sekel framåt fungerade huset som stadens bibliotek. Sedan 2006 ägs huset av Växjö domkyrkoförsamling. Du kommer att bjudas på en tur i närområdet och besöka ett antal platser som på olika sätt anknyter till några kända människor som under olika perioder i sina liv varit verksamma i huset.
