This Adventure Lab is part of the Erie Canal Adventure Lab Trail. Rotterdam Junction is a small community nestled between the original Erie Canal on the south and the Mohawk River and New York State Barge Canal on the north. It was settled in the 1600s by the Dutch and their presence can be sees in the names and at least one building in the area. This tour will visit several historic sites in Rotterdam Junction. This Adventure Lab can be completed within a hour by car, longer by bike, and much longer if you’re walking. You’ll find the answers to questions at each location. This Adventure Lab may be done in any order.
