Part of the Erie Canal Adventure Lab Trail. Fort Plain is a small village with a population of 2,322 people as of the 2010 census. The village rests along the Mohawk river about 20 miles west of Amsterdam, NY. Within the village you will find Haslett Park, a popular place for many of Fort Plains residents. You may even see a local band play at the pavilion or listen to an outdoor sermon if that's your thing. Next to Haslett Park is the Fort Plain Free Library with many books on the history of Fort Plain and the surrounding area. The Library doubles as an information center with brochures and other information on events and attractions in the area. West of Haslett Park, just off of Canal St., is the site of the old fort turned museum. If you get a chance to visit, I high recommend it. Now enough of my blabbering, Welcome to Fort Plain. I have this set to be played in sequential order so that it ends with you at the best location. I hope you have as much fun doing this as I did putting together.
