This adventure lab is part of the Erie Canal Adventure Lab Trail. This trail starts as part of the Empire State Trail and meets up with the Utica Marsh Wildlife Management Area. The marsh is 213 acre wetland located between the Mohawk River and the Erie Canal. The trail for this adventure lab is mainly flat and can be walked or biked, but please know the total distance is almost 5 miles. This area is also a marsh/wetland so please wear appropriate footwear. It can be flooded in certain areas. There are also other geocaches along the way and an adventure lab BONUS. I would also suggest going with a friend for safety.
