Mit dieser Liebeserklärung des Grafen Nikolaus Esterházy an seine junge Frau Krisztina Nyári beginnt im Jahre 1624 die Geschichte des Schlossgartens in Eisenstadt als gartenkünstlerisch gestaltete Anlage. Der Schlosspark Eisenstadt ist etwa 50 Hektar groß und einer der bedeutendsten Landschaftsgärten aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. ENGLISH: “I built a garden in Eisenstadt, without knowing for whom, by God's will for you. Roses and other flowers are now blooming. I wish you would come to pick them soon.“ With this declaration of love from Count Nikolaus Esterházy to his young wife Krisztina Nyári, the history of the palace gardens in Eisenstadt begins in 1624 as a landscaped garden. The Eisenstadt Castle Park is around 50 hectares in size and is one of the most important landscaped gardens from the 19th century.
