Central Washington University Sustainability Tour

Welcome to Central Washington University, which occupies ancestral land of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, made up of Klikitat, Palus, Wallawalla, Wanapum, Wenatchi, Wishram, and Yakama people. The Yakama people remain committed stewards of this land, cherishing it and protecting it, as instructed by elders through generations. We are honored and grateful to be here today on traditional lands, and we give thanks to the legacy of the original people, their lives, and their descendants. This Adventure Lab will guide you to some of Central Washington University’s sustainability highlights, where sustainability is a priority. We are committed to minimizing our negative environmental impact, being smart stewards of our resources, and fostering a sustainable culture on campus. If you take this tour when the buildings on campus are open, come on in and learn more about some of the locations featured on this tour.
