The Seattle 2030 District and Capitol Hill EcoDistrict invite you on a scavenger hunt to explore the functioning nature in your community, designed to be informative for all ages.
Sites feature green storm water infrastructure (GSI) installations around Capitol Hill that use various strategies to help manage polluted storm water flows - the biggest threat to water quality in the Puget Sound and to the species who call it home. It is also designed to demonstrate the community benefits of GSI such as reducing air pollution, providing habitat to birds and pollinators, reducing urban heat islands, mitigating flooding, and improving our community’s health by providing green spaces for all to enjoy.
If you have any questions on storm water or public life in Capitol Hill, please contact seattle@2030districts.org or info@capitolhillecodistrict.org.
Have fun and enjoy your public spaces!
