BOXING HISTORY OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

The history of boxing in downtown Los Angeles reveals a dark, exciting side of the city that begins at the birth place of the city and takes us right up to the present time. It's an adventure of demolished architecture, remaining historic structures, unsolved crimes, sites of magnificent prize fights, settings for film noirs and television shows, and colorful, tragic characters. This adventure is best on a bike (28 min one way) & Google maps can direct you to good DTLA bike paths. Parking might be tough at most locations and walking the nearly 4 mile adventure could be a challenge. You could also do the middle portion of the adventure (locations 2-4) from your car. You can do the adventure in any order but note that the Bonus Cache is near the final site on the list, Cryto.Com Arena.
