Byparken er centralt beliggende midt i Tårnby Kommune og ligger på de arealer, hvor der tidligere lå en kort motorvej fra vandtårnet til Kastrup Lufthavn. Motorvejen blev nedlagt i forbindelse med bygning af Øresundsbroen. Byparken blev indviet i august 2004. Der er masser af bænke, borde og græsarealer, der inspirerer til at tage madkurven med. Parken er rigt dekoreret med træskulpturer, der er motionsudstyr, legeplads, labyrint og skatepark. Ved Vandtårnet starter Byparkens Hjertesti som fortsætter ad Gammel Kirkevej og ender ved Kastrup Boldklubs Klubhus.
