Barn Quilts of Carver County

Welcome to the Barn Quilt Adventure Lab. You will be driving through Chanhassen, Victoria, and Waconia (about 12 miles) to visit five different barn quilts. More than 20 barn quilts have been installed. The owners chose the quilt patterns. They are beautiful pieces of artwork highlighting the art of quilting and showcasing Carver County’s historic agricultural icons. Quilts are made from two pieces of 4 x 8' plywood painted and framed. Etiquette - Barn quilt owners agreed in writing to welcome the public on their properties. Walk around, you’re welcome to be on the grass. Take photographs – the barn quilt, barn, other buildings or animals, the whole farmstead. Conversation – Owners are generally eager to share information about the farm and themselves, but consider distancing, please, don’t knock at the door. (per Barn Quilts of Carver county website) Upon completion of each lab, you will receive a code in the Journal, for use in the Barn Quilt Adventure Lab Bonus cache, GC8Z6TK, a physical cache.
