Part of the Erie Canal Adventure Lab Trail. Amsterdam is city full of art and history. No other place in Amsterdam brings the two together as much as the "Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook" pedestrian bridge. The bridge spans 511' and is approximately 30' wide. Construction began in 2014 and was completed in 2016. The dedication ceremony was held that August. As you walk along the bridge and to the Riverlink Park you will spot several forms of art and read a lot of history. This Adventure Lab focuses mainly on the art but will touch on some of the history of Amsterdam. I hope you enjoy your visit. Side note: this Adventure Lab is just a small part of what this walk provides. I encourage you to take your time and read each of the signs and plaques that you come across. Enjoy
