Welcome to the Erie Canal! This AL is part of the Erie Canal Adventure Lab Trail, and is designed to be a paddle activity (walking would involve trespassing on private property, which will get you a large frowny face from the folks at Geocaching, and is generally a bad idea anyway), and can only be done seasonally when the canal is open (duh). All stops are easily visible and you will not need to leave the comfort and luxury of your personal watercraft to get any info. I spent a little over 2 hours at a very leisurely pace and travelled a smidge over 5 miles RT. This AL is designed as a sequential experience so that when you have completed all 5 stops you will receive info for the special, super deluxe BONUS cache (GC8YQYK) you can get as well (I know-wowwwww). I recommend launching from the Ayrault Road Boat Launch at N43° 04.776' W77° 27.563'. Enjoy the paddle!
