Almost Paradise, Part 2

Welcome to another adventure lab at Paradise! This adventure lab will continue your walk to buildings and points of interest designated as the Mount Rainier National Historic Landmark District. You will be able to complete this cache during any season (even winter!). It will take you less than 45 minutes to complete this activity. John Muir described Mount Rainier’s subalpine garden as the greatest he had ever found. Did you know this area used to have a laundry, ice cream plant, general store, cabins, tent camps, and a golf course? Additionally, there was a snowshoe rental facility, photo shop, and a horse rental corral. In addition to ski lift buildings, there was a rope tow for skiers. In the winter, there were dog sled rides! In 1922, the Tacoma Motocycle Club had hill climbing races with over 300 motorcycles tearing up the flower fields!
