Moelfre Shipwrecks

Moelfre is a picturesque former fishing village with a long maritime history. The importance of the sea in the lives of the people of Moelfre is celebrated at the Seawatch Centre where there is a small museum and RNLI shop. This Adventure Lab will take you on a pleasant walk through the village and along the coast to find out more about two local shipwrecks, The Royal Charter and The Hindlea, and the role of Moelfre’s lightboat men. This Adventure Lab can be done in any order but we suggest starting at the Hindlea Anchor as there is a large free car park nearby in the village centre.
