Thorndon Park - A Step Back In Time

A leisurely walk around a beautiful family friendly park. To protect the abundance of bird life, dogs and bikes are not permitted within the park. Located in the suburb of Paradise, on the corner of Gorge Road and Hamilton Terrace, the park is open to the public at all times, although the car park is closed between sunset and sunrise each day. There is a small kiosk run by the Rotary Club of Morialta that is open on weekends. Alternatively, bring a picnic lunch or make use of the many well maintained electric BBQs scattered around the park. There are wetland walking trails and a 1.5km sealed walking/running loop that circumnavigates the park. Don't forget to record the numbers for the bonus cache - GC8V5ZG. Note: Alternative access and street parking can be found on Ozone Parade at S 34° 52.371′ E 138° 41.391′
