Holmdel’s Bell Labs building served as a research facility for over 6,000 engineers. Besides being one of the great economic drivers of the region, it was also a hub for technological advancement. For over 40 years engineers developed computer systems, programming languages, cell phones, satellites and fiber optics at Bell Labs. The building is listed on both the New Jersey and National Historic places.
