Riga’s medieval old town and its surrounding city centre was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. The adventure start in Town Hall Square, near the Roland Monument. Riga Town Hall Square (Rātslaukums) - The historic center of Riga. In the centre of the Riga Town Hall Square stands a Roland's statue and all the distances in Riga and Latvia are calculated from the Roland's sword.
