Southlake Municipal Stroll

Take a little tour of the town square area of Southlake, Texas - the quintessential suburb of the Dallas / Fort Worth area. The Southlake area was originally settled in the 1840s, but was not incorporated as Southlake until 1956, after the construction of Grapevine Lake was completed. Before incorporation, the settlements of Whites Chapel, Dove, Union Church and Jellico made up present day Southlake. The area remained rural until the completion of the DFW International Airport in the 1970s. In 1999, Southlake Town Square was developed and continues to expand as a shopping precinct surrounding Southlake Town Hall, Southlake Municipal Court, Southlake Public Library, Southlake DPS Headquarters, single-family residential, over 100 stores, 27 eateries, three parks, medical offices, Harkins Theater, and Hilton luxury boutique hotel. So take a stroll, grab a Starbucks or an ice cream and take in the sights.
