It wasn't always that way however... For the first half of the 20th century the heartbeat of the city was the railway industry. It was when CNR decided to shut down the machine shops that the idea of theatre was born. The theatre has become internationally renowned and brings tens of thousands of tourists to the area each year. While the stops on this adventure have been set up chronologically, they can be visited in any order. As parking can sometimes be a challenge, I would recommend parking somewhere downtown and walking to the stops in that area. Let's start our tour!
