San Dimas: "The Crown of the Citrus Belt"

The citrus era in San Dimas started in 1879, when Crawford Teague planted the first trees, and ended in 1953, when the packing houses ceased operation and the last boxes of fruit were shipped out. During the first few decades of the 1900's, San Dimas was a world leader in the citrus industry. With a combination of the right topography, perfect climate, plentiful water, railroad access and innovative pioneers, San Dimas became known as the "Crown of the Citrus Belt". This Adventure Lab will take you to five locations that highlight the citrus industry in San Dimas. If you choose to drive, it should take about 1/2 hour. Walking to all of the locations will be about 1.15 miles one way. While you can visit the locations in any order, I suggest starting at The Teague Family: San Dimas Pioneers, as that is where it all began. After completing the Adventure Lab, you will have the coordinates to find the bonus cache (San Dimas: "The Crown of the Citrus Belt" AL Bonus GC8Z7KC)
