Welcome to the Salisbury Historic National Cemetery. This is hallowed ground, where we honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans. The Salisbury Historic National Cemetery was established in 1865 around the old prison burial ground. In the 1870's, the cemetery was enclosed with a stone wall which can be seen from your current location. The entry points feature ornate iron gates cast with iconic military symbols. This adventure lab includes five areas of the historic cemetery. Please remember that all national cemeteries are considered national shrines.
