ENG: The Bastrup Tower is Denmark's oldest secular stone ruin! The Bastrup tower was built no later than 1130. In comparison, the ruins under Christiansborg (Bishop Absalon's castle) are from 1167. The tower was probably a fortification for the soldiers who ensured road peace - and therefore located by one of the road's most dangerous passages, Mølleådalen.
