Murwillumbah Heritage Walk

Welcome to Murwillumbah, NSW. This town is in a green caldera, the vast crater of the eroded Tweed Volcano covered in rainforest and farmland. A volcano that last erupted 20 million years ago. MT Warning (Wollumbin) is the remains of the core of the volcano. Wollumbin gained the name 'Mt Warning' from Captain James Cook in May 1770. Murwillumbah has not always been my home but in the years i have lived in this area i have grown fond of this beautiful little town. I have created many memories here and hope that you enjoy this adventure, no matter how long or short of a stay you have here in Murwillumbah. Murwillumbah is the home of some beautiful family owned Cafes and restaurants that share beautiful heritage listed buildings. Some of which you may find or wander past while on this adventure. In this Adventure Lab you will need to visit 5 locations of interest in a given order. You will visit buildings and places which events have occurred that helped create this towns history.
