Welcome to Brantford!
Known as the "telephone city", Brantford is most famous for being the residence of Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. It also has several other noteworthy titles such as the "Best Blooming City," due to its picturesque gardens, and "Hometown to the Great One"- famous hockey player, Wayne Gretzky.
Brantford originated as Brant’s Ford, named for Joseph Brant, the famous Mohawk chief who was granted the site in 1784 for the settlement of the Six Nations after the American Revolution.
This Adventure Lab will take you to the downtown area of Brantford to explore some of the interesting monuments. Not all locations are wheelchair accessible and parking can easily be found nearby. The five locations are within walking distance of each other and would take less than 1.5 hours to complete.
