Thomas Francis Meagher - Sink Or Swim

Thomas Francis Meagher was an Irish revolutionary, orator, convict, US Army General and Governor of the Montana Territory. He was first to fly the tricolor flag at The Mall in Waterford, which is the basis of the present day National flag of Ireland. Meagher led a colorful life and was too dramatic and inspiring a figure to die of old age … he fell or was pushed from the back of a steamboat while traveling on the Missouri River in 1867 (body never recovered). You'll be visiting a few places in Waterford that have T.F. Meagher connections.
