A Little Mount Vernon History

Welcome to Mount Vernon, WA the county seat of Skagit County. Located off of I-5 along the Skagit River, the city has something for everyone. If you seek the outdoors, Mount Vernon has beautiful parks and miles of hiking trails. The city hosts the annual Tulip Festival in April, Highland Games in July and the county fair in August. This Adventure Lab focuses on the history of the city and surrounding area. Three of the locations can be accessed by foot after parking downtown. A vehicle will be needed to reach the other two locations. Please note that parking coordinates are available for the location on Memorial Highway. The coordinates are located at the top of the description. Locations can be found in any order. A bonus physical cache is available, GC8YHEY. Each journal entry will provide a word that is needed to access the bonus cache. A suggested route of west to east is the most efficient direction of travel if you want to get the bonus cache.
