Graveyards, eh? People must love them, because they're just DYING to get into them! Seriously, though, like any major metropolitan area, Halifax has a number of burial grounds of various degrees of significance and visibility. They afford us the opportunity to reflect on times past and lives lost, and they stand as a testimony to the people who built the city, as well as to the people upon whose backs the city was built. While this tour will not bring you to all of Halifax's cemeteries, graveyards, and burial grounds, it will bring you to five grave sites of interest within the city, monuments to heroes and tragedies, and places of unique significance within our fair city.
