Bergen Funkis

This Lab Adventure takes you to five architectural spots in Bergen. They are all magnificent buildings in the style of functionalism. Hope you enjoy the tour! Remember to pick up the bonus codes on your way! Functionalism is an architectural style that emerged in the late 1920s, and had its heyday until 1940. The direction emphasizes the constructive and excludes all that is superfluous. The pure form is cultivated, and the buildings' use and construction are at the center - the shape is adapted to the function. Thus, the decorative element became subordinate to the purpose of the building. Important functionalistic architects in Bergen are Leif Grung and Per Grieg.
