Durham Dawdle

This adventure lab takes you on a short walk around the beautiful city of Durham. The name “Durham” comes from the Old English word for hill, “Dun” and the Norse for island, “holme”, so originally it was called Dunholm. Following a raid by Vikings on Lindisfane in 995AD the body of Saint Cuthbert was moved to safety inland and moved around for 10 years finally coming to rest at Durham where the settlement grew up around the church. The Normans built the current Cathedral (1133) and castle which is today a world heritage site, but more of that later. Please read the instructions below before starting your adventure. There are two questions at each of the five locations. The first question confirms you are at the location. Input both answers in the order asked with no spaces. We suggest you complete in numbered order as you will finish nearest to the bonus cache (GC8F4R7) Look for the journal message after the final location.
