Nothing too historical here. Nothing that will make you rich. Nothing to take home. Nothing to brag about.
But it does have some very nice views of water, nice trail to walk, dogs love it, kids will enjoy and a very scenic area to visit. Plus if you take the time to read the info boards you may learn some things about plants, marshes, fish, animals, watersheds and such.
Would recommend good walking shoes or boots as can be slippery in some areas after a rain but is mostly flat trails. Nice off the main road parking. Can be done in less than an hour. About 1.5 miles total walk. Good family hike. And NO monsters out during the daylight hours! So take your time and enjoy the pleasant walk and views!
Would not recommend wheelchairs but may be possible in dry weather as long as wheelchair had gravel rated tires as lots of hard dirt trails.
