Since 2017 Darwin City hosts the annual Darwin Street Art Festival, which is part of the re-vitalizing Darwin City Centre program. Interstate and local artists painting permanent artworks and murals, some of them multi-storey high, onto lonely house facades, changing the once lonely laneways into amazing art work. Each painting has a different story to tell.
