Bath & Loyalist Parkway Historical Tour

The village of Bath has many historical sites to visit. This area was first settled in 1783 and known as Ernesttown. It was renamed Bath in 1817. This tour will take you to some of its many interesting historical locations in the village and westward along the Loyalist Parkway. The Loyalist Parkway was so named in 1984 and was the initial mail road linking Kingston to Toronto and commemmorates the United Empire Loyalists who began to arrive from the south after the American Revolution. Further west along the Loyalist Parkway there is an archeological site which takes the history back by centuries.
