Quick! Sammy Squirrel's Stash has been stolen & he needs your help! Collect clues as you interpret points of interest along the trails in Patapsco Valley State Park! Narrow your suspects trailside as you check out river views, ancient train tunnels & local legends. EDIT 12/22: Stage 2 closed. Answer is in location desc. WARNING: This is an out-and-back hike with a small loop at the end. I STRONGLY encourage future seekers to view the bonus cache page (GC91QY5) before doing the adventure! Trail gets VERY steep as it descends to the river. No bushwhacking required & you will be using marked trails. Stages must be completed in order due to the nature of the investigation! Overall it is about 2+ miles & involves an elevation change of about 170'. For a view driving up to the parking area & along the trail, watch the video in the first stage description. Two possible parking locations: small lot off Hilltop Rd (up from the posted start coords), or roadside parking along Hilltop Rd just north of Park property.
