AMNHA: Lab 1 - Granite City (LHH)

Welcome to the city of granite! The name "Lithonia" is derived from the Greek words for rock (“lithos”) and place (“onia"). Lithonia was incorporated in 1856, and its first granite quarry opened in 1879. In this Adventure Lab, you will be taken on an interactive tour of downtown Lithonia and visit some of its landmarks, buildings and murals to learn more about the city's history. Please allow about one hour to complete the tour. This Adventure Lab is a part of the AMNHA geocaching series featuring 90+ caches throughout the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and its surroundings. Upon completion, you will be given a password for the Lithonia Historic Hike passport . To learn more about the AMNHA geocaching series, check out: https://arabiaalliance.org/activities/geocaching/
