Walk in William’s footsteps

Welcome to Titchfield. This beautiful Hampshire village has links to the world’s greatest playwright. You can start at Titchfield Abbey, later becoming Place House. This was home to 3rd Earl of Southampton, Henry Wriothesley. He was a close friend and patron to William and both of Shakespeare’s two dedications were for him. You will be following Shakespeare’s footsteps today and finding some locations which Shakespeare himself, may well have seen. The walk is a linear route from Titchfield Abbey to Titchfield church. All locations accessible by public footpath and a message after solving will give instructions. This lab cache series is accessible when Titchfield Abbey is open. Opening times found here: https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/titchfield-abbey/opening-times/ There is a £2 charge via text to park at the Abbey. For more info about Shakespeare in Titchfield go to: https://theshakespearecode.blog/ The walk will take between 30mins to an hour.
