The current banknote series was issued by Danmarks Nationalbank in 2009-2011. From 2020, the security of the banknotes was upgraded, and they therefore come in new editions. However, the old editions will still be valid. The notes were designed by the artist Karin Birgitte Lund and have motifs of Danish bridges and ancient finds.
