Dette Adventure vil fortælle dig lidt om stenalderen ved Bølling Sø. Opgaverne tager udgangspunkt i nogle af skiltene langs søen, hvor du også kan læse mere om emnet. Historien om Bølling Sø går 18.000-20.000 år tilbage, hvor søen blev dannet som et dødishul. De første mennesker, som i stenalderen vandrede op gennem Jylland, slog sig ned her og har efterladt sig spor, som siden er blevet udgravet. Som søen groede mere og mere til, blev den også mindre, og omkring 1875 blev søen helt afvandet og tørlagt. Efter afvandingen har den været brugt som tørvemose - det var ved tørvegravning, at man fandt Tollundmanden og Ellingpigen. I 2004-2005 blev søen gendannet og i dag er Bølling Sø meget benyttet til motionsløb, mountainbike, vandreture, fuglekigning, som udflugtsmål med kaffekurven og meget mere. Og selvfølgelig geocaching. Bilen kan parkeres ved startkoordinaterne, og efter turen kan du nyde udsigten og den medbragte forplejning her på Dværgbakken. The first people, who wandered up through Jutland in the Stone Age, settled here and left traces that have since been excavated. After the lake was drained, it was used as a peat bog - it was during peat digging that the Tollund man and the Elling girl were found. In 2004-2005 the lake was restored and today Bølling Sø is widely used for jogging, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, as an excursion destination with the coffee basket and much more.
