This Adventure Lab is part of the historic LINCOLN HIGHWAY series, that will hopefully span the entire 3,000 miles between New York City and San Francisco. As the first improved transcontinental highway in the U.S., the Lincoln Highway was the premier highway of its time. From its inception, the Lincoln Highway inspired a new type of travel where the journey became as meaningful as the destination. Long-distance family automobile travel became a way of life, and economic growth followed. The Lincoln Highway still inspires us to get out on the road. This Lab Cache is about a 15-mile driving tour from Stoystown to Schellsburg. There is easily accessible parking at all stages but one. Most people should be able to complete it in an hour.
