The Great Belt Connection is a combined tunnel and bridge connection for train and motorized vehicles. It crosses The Great Belt and connects Sealand with Fyn. The railroad opened 1st of June 1997 and the highway opened a year later. The total costs was 21,7 billion dkr. in 1998 prices. It is approximately 17 km. long and consists of a 4 lane highway and a 2 track electric wired railway.
