Hvalpestien i Hvalsø er en række infotavler opsat over hele byen med henblik på at fortælle lidt om Hvalsøs historie, kunst og kultur. Denne adventure lab vil guide dig forbi 5 af de mere end 20 opsatte tavler. Store dele af det, der i dag kendes som Kirke Hvalsø, var tidligere dækket af vand - en stor sø. Søen kaldtes Hvalpesøen, og man forestiller sig, at navnet Hvalsø er opstået som en sammentrækning heraf. Resterne af søen kendes i dag som Skolesøen, og den udtørrede næsten i 2018.
