Explore Pruyn Sanctuary

Pruyn Sanctuary (pronounced "prine" not "prune") is the headquarters of Saw Mill River Audubon and protects 92 acres of open space including the Gedney Swamp wetland. There is a small butterfly garden and a demonstration meadow garden featuring native plants that birds like. Parking near the main entrance near the seed shed is at N41 11.680 W73 46.827 This child-friendly AL will take you on a short loop around the swamp. Much of the walk is on a raised boardwalk with informative signage about the local flora and fauna. Dogs are welcome on leash.
